Jetpack Stats
Data used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com user name (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, event timestamp, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner has no access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific publication has been viewed 285 times, but cannot see which specific users/accounts have viewed that publication. Statistics logs – containing visitors’ IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) – are kept by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.
Activity tracked: post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), clicks on outbound links, referring URLs and search engine terms, and countries. When enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on every page load that includes the JavaScript file used to track statistics. This is exclusively for tracking overall performance on Jetpack sites to ensure that our plugin and code do not cause performance problems. This includes monitoring page load times and resource load times (image files, JavaScript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner can force this feature to respect visitors’ DNT settings. By default, DNT is not currently honored.
